Dressing for School

All students are expected to wear the approved school uniform to school each day.  Students who are not dressed in proper school uniform will be given an opportunity to change into the appropriate school uniform or wait in the office until a parent brings the appropriate attire.

 

What to Wear - Middle School

Pants and/or Shorts

  • Must be solid navy blue, black, or tan
  • Must be worn at the waist and remain at the waist if the belt is removed
  • Shorts must be below fingertip NOT at fingertip
  • No logos
  • No: athletic shorts, jeans, leggings*, jeggings, stretch pants, sweatpants or athletic pants
    • (*Leggings are only allowed to be worn under skirts)

Skirts

  • Must be solid navy blue, black, or tan
  • Must be worn at the waist and remain at the waist if the belt is removed
  • Must be below fingertip NOT at fingertip
  • No logos

Polo Shirts/Button-up Shirts

  • Navy Blue with or without City School logo
  • White with or without City School logo
  • Can be short sleeve or long sleeve
  • Undershirt in white or navy blue only
  • No other logos

Jackets, Sweatshirts, Hoodies, Sweaters

  • Navy Blue with or without City School logo
  • Gray with or without City School logo
  • Black with or without City School logo
  • Hoods are NOT be to worn in the classroom
  • No other logos

Shoes

  • Must wear closed toe shoes
  • No slippers, sandals, open toes, backless, or slip-ons
  • Must have athletic shoes for P.E. daily

PE – Not Mandatory Dress

  • Navy City School t-shirt
  • Gray mesh City School Shorts

Friday Wear

  • City School Friday t-shirts, City School PE shirts
  • City School sweatpants or City School yoga pants,
  • OR everyday uniform.

Accessories

  • Socks in any color may be worn
  • Belts should be solid black, navy blue, or brown with a small unadorned belt buckle
  • Hats, scarves, or gloves to be worn outside during school hours – not in the classroom or inside the building
  • Students cannot wear hoods in the classroom
  • No wallet chains or accessories that hang from the body
  • No make-up is allowed except for clear lip gloss
  • Jewelry can be worn, except at P.E.
